What is stress?
Stress is a reaction of your body and mind to threatening and challenging situations in your life.

What causes stress?
The causes of stress are known as "stressors."  There are many different situations that can cause stress in your life.  Such as certain events or people.  Some other things that contribute to stress are Major life changes affecting your family or your school life. These changes are particularly stressful because they threaten a person's sense of security and self esteem. Other things that contribute to stress are everyday problems. They are commonly called "hassles."  These stressors happen frequently everyday. Such as losing something, having too much to do at once, or worrying about your appearence.  Lastly, physical surroundings can control your level of stress.  Busy, crowded areas can increase stress, or places that are noisey or polluted.

fight or flight
The fight or flight response is a response your body makes to certain situations, to either ''fight'' the stressor or ''take flight'' and leave.Everyone has a different way of dealing with these stressors

* can lower you resistance to illness & make certain diseases harder to controll.
*prevents immune system from functioning well.

*adrenaline rush to blood stream which causes many other changes (hear beats faster increase in breathing muscles tighten)
*become tierd and irritable
*exhaustion
